Lines & Shapes is a series that includes all the works where I focus on the composition of the shapes and lines to create different effects. I use oils and blending, oils with wax overlay and drawing or marking back into it and enlargements of colored pencil drawings.
My inspiration for these paintings come from anywhere. Shadows, contrast between shades on everyday items, trees on a shoreline of a lake, horizons, cityscapes, vacant cars left in lots, Pac-Man, etc.
