Figures in Everyday Life is a series of paintings that I am working on that show figures in everyday life which could be anywhere at any time. I use a layering of oil colors and wax and then carve and scrape back into to it to reveal figures which I then accent and detail further by going back in and carving and adding paint as needed. This is a very fluid creative process for me because the figures just reveal themselves to me as I am working and it is almost like the figures themselves create the painting.
